“Rise Literary helped me to find my voice, and translate it on the page. Kristen is an amazing thought partner and voice of encouragement. I felt like Rise Writers believed in me on the days where it was hard for me to. I am so grateful for their confidence in me and the message I want to share with the world.”

Dr. Portia Jackson,
author of Less You Can

“Rise Literary does more than just coach you through your book, they help you to figure out how your words can impact the world. I have worked with Kristen on four books and can say that I wouldn’t be the writer I am today without their kind and sometimes fierce support.”

We establish the meaning, intent, and confidence of your message so you can begin to develop the promise, approach, and positioning for your book - and proposal overview.

  • Week Two

We begin to establish the mechanics of your story, creating an outline for your book and drafting your chapter summaries for the book proposal.

We discuss the querying process, sharing what agents are looking for, and how you can begin to not only write your proposal, but build relationships in the literary community.
